Inflation rate is the rate in which prices of goods and services increase generally in a country. The higher the inflation rate number, the higher the prices of goods (like rice, fish, pork and vegetables) goes up.


Note: Monthly inflation rate is computed by getting the  month on month growth of Consumer Price Index (CPI 2012=100). Inflation rate is adjusted to 2012 constant price. According to BSP website, effective March 6, 2018, PSA rebased the CPI from 2006 to 2012.
